    This portrait of Grace Jones is the next evolution in creating portraits with the medium of pushpins. Instead of an array of colors, I used a single color pushpin coupled with a mathematical approach to deconstruct the light within a portrait. The image becomes clear through varying patterns of pushpins that results in an exposed canvas that offers another visual field that can be filled with whatever I chose...and in this instance, glow in the dark paint. For me Grace is always a blank canvas that could adorn any medium. Her striking beauty and presence naturally shines bright. This is part of a larger series that allows the beauty of black women to shine during all moments. Please note only the original actually glows in the dark.

    Unframed photo paper prints are printed to the edge without a white border. Framed photo paper prints are printed with a 3-inch white border, which adds an additional 3 inches on each side to advertised image print size (i.e. a 12ÌÎÌÔ12 image size would yield a final print size of 18ÌÎÌÔ18)

    100% real wood frame with a matte black enamel finish. Shatter proof plexi glass. Frame is hand made when ordered.
